Expansion of the local community and the closing of another local hospital required Doylestown Hospital to construct a 55,756 square foot addition to the existing Hospital. The 87.5 million dollar expansion was for a new Emergency Department. The expansion included the purchase of an adjacent seven acre parcel. The project involved redesigning site circulation, construction of a 490 space parking garage, improvements to existing parking areas, new site signage,wayfinding and landsaping. A section of the Doylestown Bike Hike Trail was constructed as part of the project.
