Carter van Dyke Associates led a team of planners in the commercial district enhancement of four inner suburban communities facing declining commercial vitality of their town centers.   We developed strategies to focus commercial development in compact centers, improve walkability, mitigate high traffic speeds, improve street lighting and landscaping, and enhance building facades to support the sense of place and commercial viability of each district.
