Location:  Far Hills, Somerset County, New Jersey
Client:  Somerset County Parks Department
Completion:  2003

Leonard J. Buck developed one of the premier rock gardens in America from 1940 to 1970. Since his death, the garden has been managed by the Somerset County Parks Department.  Developed in conjunction with key stakeholders, volunteers, and the staff, this was the first Master Plan of the garden.  During the master planning process, the scope of services was modified to facilitate more participation from the key players.  The Master Plan created new plantings, recommended the restoration of the forest areas and developed new site circulation and parking.
